I think its more tragic than it was a random accident than their father finding them because it means that they were actually free and the plan actually worked until tragedy stuck.

What I can't believe even more is that it ends there. What about the present day? Are she and Baku-dog gonna just live it out like siblings now? They gonna run away and be a happy family now? Haruka gonna try and kill her "sister"?

Is it gonna turn into Haruka and Baku Crime-Stoppers or something where Haruka's becomes a vigilante and she stops terrible people with the help of Baku's powers and Baku gets to eat them to keep himself satiated?
