You just need to boil the hell out of it if you want it warm. Otherwise, storing it dark and cold is the way to goMost pickled foods are fine, but since young, the smell of warm sauerkraut makes me gag.
Why would I want to warm something that makes me wana puke even before it's heated?You just need to boil the hell out of it if you want it warm. Otherwise, storing it dark and cold is the way to go
I assume the fear is that they would get paid less even if they did the same amount of work. Something that does happen, and is why manufacturing companies in the real world love moving to less developed countries. Drop the wages to barely anything, force them to work long hours to make what wages they can, and implement far less safety measures because the country doesn't have laws for them. The people in the developing country are exploited, the people in the richer country lose out on jobs (which will lead to economic problems in the long run), the product is cheap trash, and the only people happy are the investors.There might be potentially valid reasons to be skeptical, but Dan sure didn't express any. If offering jobs in exchange for the payment of cash and food is just "charity" and "exploitation' then what solution does that leave? What exactly is he angling for, and why didn't he say it? They could've easily portrayed him as a stern representative of the underrepresented, as other similar works are able to (such as in Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko / By the Grace of the Gods), but here he comes across as an aimless whiner.
"White kimchi" doesn't have any chili peppers. People who can't handle spicy foods should give that a try.One is sour (Sauerkraut, cuz it is sauer, DUH!) which anoher is spicy. (careful, it is really spicy for someone who isn't used of spicy foods.
)
The slums are part of the Margrave's territory as well - deeply respected as that family may be, the slums existing under their charge at all means that some stuff still went wrong, and conditions were allowed to persist for a period of time before Magnolia showed up.good on her to shut down his pouting nonsense immediately. i get being skeptical of nobles and all that yada yada, but i got the impression that the Margrave was deeply respected in his teritory so i really don't get the reasoning for his little outburst when they got offered possibly the best solution they might ever get to save who kows how many lives from the slums
Maybe he thought is sounded too good to be true, but to just dismiss it like that is just foolish
Sure, as I said, there are potentially valid reasons to be skeptical, but my issue is that he didn't express any of them. He didn't even look at the documents she distributed to everyone (and this could actually have been another good opportunity to show his disadvantaged position if they portrayed that as him not being fortunate enough to gain literacy, however...); his reaction to her yelling the explanation of the disease showed that he wasn't even paying attention to her earlier calm explanation. He is simply a terrible representative for the interests he advocates.I assume the fear is that they would get paid less even if they did the same amount of work. Magnolia's solution isn't great, forcing a standard wage has many issues down the road, but it is at least an assurance that she is trying to protect the people of the slums from getting used like that.
That is fair, in general this part of the plot is treading the same old isekai tropes. Which means someone had to hold the idiot ball to push her up.Sure, as I said, there are potentially valid reasons to be skeptical, but my issue is that he didn't express any of them. I never eat it warm. It's best served cold, especially with deli meat. You should try a cold Ruben sandwich 😋 My favorite 💕 I make my own at home too, like they said, it's super healthy.Most pickled foods are fine, but since young, the smell of warm sauerkraut makes me gag.
Cold, warm, doesnt matter. the smell of it even from accrossed the table makes me gag. And it's not like I've not tried. Kimchi, while not as bad has the same effect. Which is really weird because it's not the cabbage. Coleslaw is fine, as is stuffed cabbage. But sauerkrautI never eat it warm. It's best served cold, especially with deli meat.
