It is so difficult to make money taking photographs, especially with the advent of AI photo generation these days. Everyone with a camera is a professional, everyone knows someone with a camera, just so happens they're also a professional. If you see a social media post asking for a photographer it's flooded with about a hundred responses from anyone with a gd point and shoot.
You either do weddings or family/baby pictures, both incredibly soul crushing because the clientele are as insufferable as it gets although everything else is unprofitable. No one wants to buy your landscape shots, no one wants your wildlife pictures.
The most reliable way to make money as a photographer is to sell your camera.

It's a great hobby though.

For the TL: Page 7 might be a reference to Anpanman, one of the most successful media franchises inside Japan. Anpanman is a superhero with an anpan (red bean bun) for a head, and one of his signature moves is to let people eat parts of his head for nourishment. He gets new heads from his baker.

I am (vaguely) aware of Anpanman, and I totally see the head connection... but nothing else about the character, from appearance to name (Anpanman's name includes "man", while Satoimo-kun's just uses -kun) seems to really match up. Maybe we'll learn more about him if he reappears later.
