that on its own feels like a compelling manga.

and it could be one part of whatever insanity train this is becoming.

that last panel really does feel like the ending will be "the riches were the friends we made along the way" or something.
And we even got the previous chapter where they all (for the most part) pledged to stay with Chie even outside the context of the millions, so.

Guess we'll see. Lapis is a confounding variable, and I don't doubt they'd backdoor into more millions even if they lost every yen.
Hopefully it happens in a zany way, though, at least.
