actually, it sorta makes sense.
For awhile now she's been just doing what she wants in an effort to get close to him--but he was also largely just ...almost robotic in his going along with it.
But nowadays he's being more active and interactive when they're with one another, and showing more actual agency. And for her part, she's becoming more presently emotive in response to him. More overt blushing, more facial expressions overall. It's partly because we're moving outside of his head and into the world between them more, so more focus on her as a person in the dynamic makes sense.

But she's being more cognizant of him, and with that comes a bit more awareness of whether he's actively opting in to whatever they're doing, now. Before, it was just her doing whatever was needed to get close to him and get him to notice her. Now that he has, there's more back-and-forth in play, and it's not just her making decisions.
So a bit more uncertainty on her part comes with that, now that she's doing less of the "just running him over with flirting" and more "we're doing this stuff together and so his perspective is now being accounted for", type thing.

That's my take on it, at least.
