the worst thing about this manga is how they do all the retarded and ragebait tropes and hope you still remember it exists in four months

Are you mentally stunted? Only lazy writers need this bullshit for drama. Here's something, instead of cuck fantasies how about a story of the dude progressing to earning a knightship or more thanks to his lady's guidance? You can get several volumes out that.
Yep. Villager A wants to save the Villainess went down that route.

Grow some fucking balls and common sense, she clearly wants you and you go and say all that bullshit about some dude who literally despises you, pathetic
MC is actually working under Common Sense of the Society though.

Aka., a Commoner Servant can never be in a relationship with an Noble, especially if the Servant in a Man and the Noble is a Lady.

The only way he can be in a relationship with her, is if he discards Common Sense, and elope's with her which can be considered as a crime (or, the only other legal way could be for him to get status that far outshines her family position).

Truthfully even in real life, majority of relationship do occur within the same economic class (I mean, how many times have you heard of a rich woman marrying someone like a factory labour or similar status guy outside of fiction, quite few i would say).

Even if the few times that norm is not followed, usually the relationship does eventually lead to divorce either way (only in rare few cases does a relationship between unequal economic class actually ends up being successful).

Drama is Drama.
What you are also describing can be considered as cheap lazing writing as well, as multiple stories have similar plot like that.

I mean, in plot revolving around romantic relationship between "Noble & Commoner", there aren't that many plot options.
You can get several volumes out that.
And truthfully, those kind-off stories actually end up being finished within a few volumes.
From the few I have read, majority of those type only get about 3-4 volumes, max 5.

On the other hand, series like this ones, were we have lazy writing drama, sells well and last for well over 7 volumes.
I mean, just look at series like "Rent-a-Girlfriend".

A better and more simple answer is that every story needs conflict. That conflict can be literally anything, but every story needs it. In this particular setting where the main male character and main female character are in two very different social classes (the former is literally the latters servant) then a very natural storyline is going to be challenges to their romance. It was said by the characters themselves. Political marriages are very commonplace in this setting. Not just common place, it's a noble's responsibility.

At the end of the a piece of fiction is comprised of a lot of moving pieces. There's a story, characters, conflict, story progression (pacing), setting, style (word choice), and execution. You can have the same conflict (drama) and make it more or less interesting. You can execute differently or it'll naturally execute itself differently based on the other pieces. Changing this specific point of conflict won't change what this work of fiction fundamentally is. You'd have to change a lot more including the author.

I mean she really wasn't wrong. Lolicon is the proper word. I do still wonder where she picked it up from. 😆
You might say that, but historically it's accurate as well.
Aka., many relationship between nobles did use to form because years before they met each other and one got interested in the other.

But atleast here, he actually did wait for her before she grew up and became of age.

People might call him Pedo or Lolicon, but an actual Pedo or Lolicon would go after them young directly, and not wait for them to become of age.

As for the age gap between the two, it's not really that big, considering we have even bigger age gap between couples in real life as well.
I mean Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi have a 15 Years age gap, or Heidi Klum & Tom Kaulitz have a 16 Years age gap, for example.

Is the author seriously trying to do an entire ntr scene in the manga? This is how the series is gonna die isn't it.

Honestly you can be mad at the trope but the only reason she's not going to get married is plot armor. MC is a servant I really don't think people understand this , like it was laid out what would happened a couple of chapters ago and people are still pissed at him. Like if this wasn't a manga where things will work out , he would be the only logical one. He's a commoner and he has no way to get to her level so that they can be together. It's really that simple
I still don't care

Only the last few panels are new and the rest is just the author reminding the readers what was shown in chapters 9 to 11.

Yep.
It's super fucking dumb, and I personally think Gray is spineless because he knows how she feels about him, that he should at least tell her his personal thoughts in private, at the bare minimum, and explain their situation.
But he's technically correct that their stations prohibit any relationship between them.

That said, Gray absolutely should have said "no I do not want you two to marry, but I can't do anything about it as I am, we need time and would need an actual plan", so that the two of them along with the staff could maybe figure something out.
What he did do, though? Absolute bullshit, and it's spitting in her face. I will condemn him for that.

There's clearly a huge wall in front of them getting together, but they need to be united in figuring something out. Him just burying his feelings along with any hint of a backbone like this is ridiculous and makes me want to root against him, because he shows that he considers things like "station" more important than at least acknowledging her feelings.
I feel the same way, but I get the feeling he doesn't want to give her hope of fixing it and causing her make things worse on top of having no cards to play at the moment. That and the brutal reminder that she is not capable of surviving if disowned.

Remember he's the one who usually has to talk her out of bad situations, and this is one where he can just get killed at a whim no matter how good of an argument he makes. She's going to have to step up without having him as a crutch this time instead of hopping between ignoring him and demanding he instantly fixes it.

And hopefully sooner than later so we can get back to them being goofballs again.

lmao i dropped that dogshit after the heroine got kidnapped and got sexually assaulted (mentally), it's really annoying
You should read the latest chapter again, MC goes john wick and go RAMBO to save his girl and now its him VS the kingdom.
It takes a nasty villain doing nasty things with nasty reasons so MC can go do crime in satisfying way.

THIS, this is what is happening in this chapter, it feels like many of you guys have forget how bad it was to live in medieval era where nobles are gods to tyrant toward peasants.
MC makes a correct choice to live good for another day, than taking the first step to DOOM. I don't know why many hates this chapter when its being logical and not too much of BS fantasy love conquers all.
