Ch. 20 killed the whole vibe. I can't keep reading a "cute" story that introduces a primary schooler over multiple chapters only to treat her as a nuisance AFTER revealing she's neglected, or maybe even fully abandonned, by her parents, then dropping the subject entirely.
Don't ask me to feel sad for one kid missing her mom, but laugh off another one in a worse situation.

That’s chapter 20 and the manga is only up to chapter 26 (for scanlation anyway) It’s not uncommon for a story thread or subplot to be temporarily paused then resumed later. In fact it’s super common in manga.

People mad about a subplot being dropped for a moment need to calm down lol.
