Technically they were never like "leave your wife for me" Karin just used her tears to sympathize/emotionally manipulate him /sumire was offering him 'comfort' when setting up him 'catching' karin flirting with mirai but yeah he's pretty weak willed , wonder how other guys would react if something similar happened, altho plastic surgery aside it's not the first revenge story (tho sometimes those go over the top to where they straight up kill them versus just mind break/socially ruin them)
