At the level he's at, it'd just piss the big guy off and leave you wide open. They clearly can fight through the pain. Hell the big guy was basically fighting through a concussion after those jaw punches.

That fight was intense. Probably the best fight in this series so far. What I like from jaehyuk's character is that he got humbled early. His previous big fight with the boxer guy almost killed him because he was too confident with himself and then he learned from that and got better in fighting. If that fight didn't happened he likely would've died here fighting the big guy. Jaehyuk needs to be a scaredy cat if he wants to live to see graduation. He needs to learn and be cautious of his opponent and create plans to beat them. This doesn't mean I want him to just not fight. That part of him that is scared of fighting people stronger than him is what makes him brave. I'm very excited to see where we grows from this act. Thanks for the chapter Stoney.
