Come now. Japan is a very ordered and safe society. Everyone knows their place. Nobody questions. No one does anything evil like tell a lie. If they do, like children who are beginning to learn and question things around them, the only response is a just and righteous punishment like total existential destruction. Thus, survival is selected for good people who know their place and don't do evil things like tell lies, and acceptable society endures.This is the most stupid horror story I have read. Why did the oni came out of a cooch like that. I would had more sense if they had made a warning about not lying and that the oni will try to make you lie.
Youkai girls are fine too.Japan isn't going to survive the next decade between their nonexistent birthrate and their nonchalance towards getting annihilated by the supernatural.
Every chapter makes me think "this priest is the horror-story embodiment of the 'this is fine' meme." ^_^;;;Japan isn't going to survive the next decade between their nonexistent birthrate and their nonchalance towards getting annihilated by the supernatural.
I mean the author is painting out that she’s obviously a monster but I got a feeling it’s gonna turn out the twist is she gonna be devoured by the book and laid to rest at the last minute before her immediate freedom.The priest is absolutely a monster herself, shes not afraid because shes stronger, im sure of it.
She keeps saying that ignoring danger is what kills the characters while ignoring the obvious danger shes in.Every chapter makes me think "this priest is the horror-story embodiment of the 'this is fine' meme." ^_^;;;
Welp, me too. I thought the girl is the Oni like everyone saying. But, bloody hell. Didn't except it came from 'that'.i expected the girl was gonna turn into the oni, but not like that
If they could have been purified, they likely would have already. The weak spirits get purified, the strong devour 1d5 investigators a round. Many stories are cautionary tales, aka "keep your head down and avoid this area/behavior/mindset or get erased from existence by the local omnipotent spirit because there's nothing we can do against it."I wonder if the places are real in the series (not in real life of course) and those supernatural fucks get purified/destroyed after getting their stories read by our mc.

At least take a break to repair the room.
Maybe but at the start she seems out in the open when they give her the book.I've been wondering about the repairs for a bit.
Like I think the overall deal is that the temple was designed to be a waste management faculty for cursed objects AND a prison for her, a scary thing that can be forced to purify cursed objects. Hence her being smug that each story is breaks more shit.
Only thing is, a lot of the protections are in the room with her and there are a few (mainly the flowers) that need to be replaced regularly. If it's not her who's doing that.
