You know, even with all the bitching and moaning I did in the comments sections of this arc i still consider it better than the drag race one. At least here they raced.Worst arc ever award?
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I don't believe this is a bad arc. This arc provides a refreshing contrast to previously "grounded" chapters and allows the author (Umezawa) to explore and research on the future of automotive history. Mobius allows Umezawa the ability to talk about hybrid launch systems and Ai-powered car features. So while the Mobius might seem like fantasy bullshit, its not too far off of reality.
We now have super cars that have hybrid launch systems like the BMW i8 or even fully electric oriented sports card like the Porsche Taycan. Now cars are jam-packed with sensors, lane assists and features. And the design isn't too strange from what's on the market today. For example, it can be argued that the Mobius is a better looking car than the Tesla Cybertruck. Car manufacturers are now opting to choose sharper lines and ditch curves and flowing bodies.
This arc's introduction is also a direct contrast to the raw and dirty(???) chapters that included cars like the Countach, Porsche 928 and C5 Corvette. Readers strongly agree that those car possess more unique qualities, personality and freedom than today's vehicles. So when presented with Mobius, a car that reflects the modern design language of automobiles being produced today, there is going to be some backlash and discontent with this arc. This arc isn't necessarily poorly written or badly executed, but a lot of the anger at modern day vehicles is being misplaced here.
Umezawa was ahead of the time, he wrote about such features that were still in early development! And pretty much predicted the future. We only have 245/289 chapters left. So no matter your stance on this arc, try to enjoy it.

As someone who also bitched during this arc i agree with you. I don't like this one but at least I don't completely hate it like the drag race arc.You know, even with all the bitching and moaning I did in the comments sections of this arc i still consider it better than the drag race one. At least here they raced.
Can't unsee the 911 coming out of the brown i8.I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I don't believe this is a bad arc. I assure you I'm 100% human XD. The writing style I was trying to work on literature analysis which includes practicing critical thinking, connecting evidence and supporting a thesis in a more formal setting. No way anyone actually talks like this in real life, at least I sure hope so. I think the main reason it sounds like AI is because it trains off of research essays and analysis written in a similar format.Dude if you are a human you are the most AI sounding human ever
I mentioned it before, but at least the drag racing arc taught me stuff about drag racing, which was something new to me. The mobius dickcar here is just all made up bullshitAt least the drag race arc had some cool technicalities and details about the sport, instead of a car coming to a stop after spinning, but then immediately catching back up to the car it's struggling to beat in a race.
