Note: Approximately $600 at time of publication. It's currently less than $400.

This tomato arc can't end soon enough but considering the past two arcs I don't feel confident in the next one either...

The thing is tomatoes are a new world crop aka they came from the Americas same with potatoes, Italians have food that they made without using tomatoes for centuries. They could do a gimmick of making food closer to Roman style for a bit. Apparantly google says Northern Italian dishes don't use tomatoes as much as th Southern Italians.

Just research more Italian dishes and Ban and the main cast can learn more dishes and learn more about Italy and its cuisines.

I believe that the customer base of Italian restaurants in Japan that is completely used to modern Italian tomato-based cuisine, would not be interested in Roman-style recipes that easily. Not to mention that the flavor would need to be vastly improved as the ancient recipes of that era were probably kinda bland in comparison to modern cooking. Customers would still flock to the fancy molecular gastronomy of the Korean dudes.

Of course I still think that it's kinda silly and unrealistic that a place like this can show up overnight and steal all the customers of a place that serves traditional food. The two cuisines are just not comparable in the slightest. It's like trying to compare sushi with an oven-roasted branzino
