Ok, but did it have to be a swastika?
The swastika was originally used for Shinto and Buddhist practices. It's one of the oldest known symbols and it usually stands for peace, and is still used a lot in Japan, especially around religious or traditional buildings or areas. The Nazis stole the Swastika and other symbols to be made into symbols of hate. Nazis have also been stealing Nordic culture as well, such as using the rune of the sun to use for their SS symbol

Yeah, and I can think of a few slurs that were derived from nonoffensive words, but you don't see me using them to refer to black crayons or piles of sticks meant for burning.
