Honestly I would give this a 10 but the reason why I gave it a nine because that one point was a given. An intervent kid is always a piece of shit suspect to make someone's life miserable because they're fucking jealous. Too much of a little bitch boy to man the fuck up and be a man about it. So the kid hang himself I'm happy people's going to get mad at me for saying that's fucked up No you look with that fucking damn introvert kid did to both the female main character, and the boy. Both of them had to go through hell because of that intervent little piece of shit. So once again I give this series a good masterpiece in my eyes but I'm giving it a great rating because it had to be the intimate piece of shit boy You can smell it a mile away if you read the story.

Raw chapter 80 is out and...

It's looking like the hacker friend might be connected to the mastermind or rather IS the mastermind.

It....feels so obvious that it's Yotsuha's mother that it seems like a red herring.

Like, she has ties to all of the tormenters and literally spawn camped Yotsuha as a child. Could also easily manipulate Uichi's father to be that much of a dickbag also (well...more of a dickbag i guess). Just an absolute psycho really. Doesnt matter that "shes dead" when its not "on-screen" and the brother seems to be broken down for a reason. The only motive I can think of is that she's trying a social experiment on Yotsuha and the brother was one, too.

I also dont really like how mentally defecient the tormenters are. Like it actually doesnt make sense, and they seem to bend all their logic and impulse control when the mastermind is involved. So it has to be the mother looksmaxxing her way through logic. The author goes out their way to point out how beautiful she is, too.

All still seems to support yotsuhas dad being the clover. I can’t see a world where that doesn’t make sense if it’s not rei. Simply based on previous chapters

Holy shit i wasn't expecting this damn

I dont read moon runes but im guessing from what I've come up with pictures alone is the FMC's mom is a snake and we finally see the context on why the childhood friend was the mastermind, The MC was just caught in the crossfire. Peak

Having read most of it, I'd say there's three possibilities for the current situation:
Specifically three possibilities concerning Futaba.
1: She is Clover, used Rei as a shield to pass all her orders along and work with people she hadn't met before her mental breakdown. Definitely possible, but I'm a little uncertain considering her age likely wouldn't have been even double digits yet when she started to manipulate Utako. True, she's a genius and a lot of her behavior is an act built around a careful assessment of others' expectations, but there are still some limits. Additionally, Rei and others who know Futaba have talked of meeting Clover and never suggest that they recognized this individual at all, let alone that it was her.
2: She is yet another of Clover's accomplices, though likely very high up, possibly second in command so to speak. The real Clover handles some of the most large-scale things and handles a lot of individual matters like recruitment or controlling underlings. Futaba is in it for revenge against Yotsuha who she's been convinced to blame for their father's suicide, and handles a lot of the logistics and tech, setting up the accounts and delivering Clover's orders to Rei or other lackeys. Honestly this is my number one bet.
3: She's just pretending to be Clover or serve Clover and is actually looking for a way to help Yotsuha and Uichi. Even as great an actress as she's supposed to be, this is stretching it a lot and requires she manage to maintain a fake image that is itself maintaining a fake image. It fits somewhat with her level of intelligence, as it may seem like someone as brilliant as her would realize how illogical it is to put the blame on Yotsuha rather than Kazuha for her father's death. At the least it should have occurred to her that it makes no sense to call her a "murderer". That said, the level of rage shown in the latest chapter and the number of people who'd been threatened into helping her makes this seem doubtful. If this is the case, I'd say the biggest bit of evidence would be if she eventually reveals that the crushed watch she returned wasn't the one Yotsuha had handed over before.

Well, that was a twist I didn't expect:
Turns out Futaba's father, while having been raped as far as I can tell, wound up just like all the other "miserable" people Kazuha bewitched. Her "love" convinced him that she and she alone could see and love his "true" self. Just as Futaba felt that her father was the only one that could see her without the bubbly false persona and the careful concealment of her intellect, he felt she was the only one that could see him without all his "lies" and love him. Thus why he named her Futaba: just like Kazuha called her son Mitsuha in imitation of her name, he named her Futaba as a similar imitation. Apparently, rather than loving her for her and taking joy in her love, he was imagining her as Kazuha's daughter and fantasizing that he was holding his "true love" when he held her. And he even wrote all this in his will, hidden in a safe only Futaba could unlock, along with a pic of Kazuha and Yotsuha, as well as the story of how Kazuha showed up to bring it all down. And of course, like any mystery does, it left the very end of this "will", a single last request to his daughter, to be revealed next week. Part of the reason I often prefer to read mysteries after they're finished: waiting for a new chapter of a romance or Shounen action work isn't too hard. Waiting for a big reveal is painful.

I'm still betting that our new suspect Futaba is just another pawn being moved by someone else, but I'm not betting a ton. I think it'd be better if it turned out that this suspect really is like Rei, torn between legitimate love and friendship and resentments based on interpretations they know to be inaccurate, ultimately twisted toward hate by some hidden mastermind but ultimately likely to either turn and join Yotsuha and Uichi or commit suicide as part of a deal to keep Clover from doing something worse. And I'm also betting we're finally going to get another jump. Maybe it'll be Mitsuha since he's the one holding the clover, but someone will jump back and stop the disaster before it happens.

It’s getting officially licensed in English.

As per usual, whether the scanslation continues is based on the scanslator’s decision. But support the official release if you can.
Definitely deserved. There are others I'd love to see licensed as well, but this one is definitely worth it. Now just got to wait for the story to finish and for an anime adaptation to be made (I REALLY hope they do an anime adaptation of this).
