Ah shit, here we go again. A new problem shows up for MC. His peaceful & slow life really never lasts long in every chapter :haa:

There are stories where a sinister move like that would work, where the MC and gang has their limits.
But this is the sorta story where the MC is practically a demigod. Pulling that sort of shit against him and his family is an immediate death sentence, if not at least a pathetic move that is going to be immediately thwarted.

In that sense, it's actually interesting. It makes me wonder if someone is actually capable of one-upping a walking nuclear threat, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

While the MC is extremely powerful he can definitely be outsmarted and tricked. Also just because he's extremely powerful doesn't mean he can very easily change people's minds and if everyone in the town is the immediately against the school it just won't happen.

I am once again in awe of how much the manga changes and makes the story flow a million times better. Just a handful of changes to create this scenario:
  • The Houghtow College never raises a fuss about half-bloods enrolling. Mild concern, but they trust Flio immediately.
  • His kids are growing so much slower than in LN. They were born in a month and in another month were at the age you see now. (Think it's been like 5-6 months here? Don't recall precisely).
  • Sleip & Byleri, and Ulminas/Balirossa and Ghozal all have kids born the same time as Flio & Rys'.
  • They don't meet the devil girl and her sister until much later in the story, their kids are the reason instead.
  • Flio never encounters the "Shadow King" properly in the LN. Vague effects from his sales continue around, but never this seriously (he always just coincidentally solving them anyway).
  • He also never meets Hero Gold Hair or Valentine again (she was supposed to appear at a different point too, but that's something else entirely).
So yeah, a whole lot of changes were made just to have this scenario play out and actually bring together all the unrelated threads of this story. Marvelously done as usual with this adaptation, desperately wish the anime followed this instead.

So someone has been struck down by malicuim in a town that doesn't yet (as far as anyone knows) have demons in it? Someone didn't think their plot through too well. On another note, Wyne is always so adorable.

To put it tersely; my angle was more about... Imagine you tricked a djin.
Yes, very clever, but now there's an omnipotent, reality-bending god conspiring against you, that can resolve any situation with a flick of his fingers.
I'm not really going to buy it, that the djin will end up losing, here.
