You mean the super-tanky regenerating Boss who'd just swallowed several powerups she was digesting and capable of creating an army of offspring flooding the dungeon as soon as they left it alone to Report?

As it was they barely had the firepower to deal with it..

Not every dungeon problem/Boss is about flashy Raid Boss area attack patterns and explodey stuff....
Even if that Queen Ant wasn't "dangerous" in and of herself, doesn't mean she wasn't a major headache.
And you're forgetting that only the MC would be able to go full Sumo Punch Wrestling with her as he did.. No-one in the world is as strong as him.... Anyone else would pretty much have been turned into mince meat by those jaws...

Nah they always had the ability to deal with it. The author just made the MC intentionally combat ignorant so that events like in this chapter can happen...

I mean who the hell attacks the armored skull of an ant like creature when the obvious choice it to sever the exposed neck joint... It's not like they couldn't figure that out, as it's exactly how they killed it.

MC don't just accept the suicide mission to enter the mystery stairs... Hes going to isn't he.

He's basically the main hope for humanity at this point, mainly waiting for power ups to summon his full army and go god mode and save the world, taking such a risk is incredibly stupid.

Now he'll probably find something super important down there but whatever, that's just how these stories go.
