And here i thought it was going to be more along the lines of the shady dud buying up materials for a higher price and then have the bandits gank the collectors once they’ve earned enough return to home. That way he only looses a small percentage of the payout as a fee to the bandits and or the inn / eateries and makes up the difference by selling materials wholesale after a set period of time, or when the community starts getting suspicious.
