Being told, "Either write your novel without dating, or date and quit writing your novel- you decide," and then responding with, "I love the novels you write, so please keep writing them forever" (I love you who's writing the novel so much)—that's a stroke of genius that nails the perfect answer.

This reminds me of Page 14 in Chapter 11 of the series when Shinonome-senpai was wondering what the best words to use when confessing and thinking of words that famous writers have used.

She's always been a writer nerd in a way, and for her, Saraki's words couldn't be any better and reminded her why she fell in love with him.

There will be thousands of generic manga where you can get your normal romcom manga confession and outcome that you want, so read that if you are troubled by this.

And yes, this might not be the outcome you want, but it's what Shinonome had always wanted to hear and the one that is perfect for this manga.

The more I read this manga, the more I feel that the mangaka truly grew and evolved Shinonome as she wrote more and more chapters with her - the development of her relationship with Saraki has felt natural.

So that weirdo explicitly told him she was there to break into his house and rob it and he's still just standing there with his thumb up his ass and not at the bare minimum calling the cops? Did he get brain damage after that whole situation with Senpai?

Imagine writing a manga where a... tanned... character try to break, entering and stealing because they are not just given someone else's stuff, and have them say it's a cultural thing, everyone in America behaves like that :dogkek:

The heroine not being the MCs love interest would be a surprise I don't think I've ever seen that before in a manga at least.

Akame ga Kill is the first example my brain thought of. Though obviously no one wants this to end up anywhere like that :worry: .

But if Saraki does end up with Shinonome then the story's entire structure makes a lot of sense. That would mean that Kobachi was just a literary Artemis, an unpredictable deity that causes all the story's main events to happen. Without her, this romance never happens.

My cope does not die here, Kobachi will win the Sanosuke Bowl. The scientist girl failure is better.

I am more and more certain this is Nagi just doing their own version of R15+. Just not sure what it means for Kobachi going forward

Feels like I'm in the minority in that I enjoy this level of melodrama. It's not over the top and nobody is in hysterics. It's just dumb college kids trying to navigate through life.
I feel like there's a large portion of Romcom manga readers who hate all the typical trappings of manga Romcoms. I have to wonder why they're still here.
