I'm really surprised so many people thought he was dead. I don't think Lilisa's mom would be so aggro about her playing guitar if he died. I figured he cheated on her and they divorced and she associates the guitar with him and there 'ain't no way any daughter of mine is playing the instrument of a cheater.' It just kinda works in her favor that the guitar isn't a "refined" instrument.
