Now it makes sense what's going to happen next! When the main character is cornered and the chapter ends with him looking like he has no idea what to do next! But then, all of a sudden, we get a flashback arc explaining how everything will end well. Remember when Fumi called her drunk? Well, right before that, they'll show us a conversation between Ayano and onee-san where they plot out a solid game plan, and onee-san is standing there, pointing at the details and nodding with a smug face, while Ayano looks at her with the exact same expression!
Here is how it's going to play out: our one and only, incomparable onee-san comes to the rescue, pulls Fumi out of this pit (that he's trying to drag himself into), and helps her beloved brother with these relationships. Then, about 7 years later, we see Ayano—who is a popular actress by that time—raising at least 2 kids! Yeah, no less, can you imagine, and that's in today's economy!
So, we get an epic finale where all win and look into the sunset! Just like main characters usually do, you know what I mean! And at the very end, onee-san looks at them and her nephews, and says in unison with Ayano: "Checkmate, Fumi-kun!" while Fumi is just there in the background, continuing to walk with the kids
