My

prediction for the next chapters is that the new movie shooting will involve Sakura BUT she will be overshadowed by Fumi's performance under Shinobu's support and that's where Sakura will suddenly feel that she would be Fumi if she didn't break up with MC , everyone will be awed at Fumi being pretty much a new promising talent and get all the praises on her (not Shinobu because Airi being Airi) and also suddenly Yuma and the blonde bitch will get interested in Fumi as well and try to repeat the same strat they did with Sakura but likely fail (though I think they might succeed to break her apart from MC knowing the author)
I don’t think they will repeat the same thing twice. Difference between Fumi and Sakura is that Fumi sticks with MC like a rash. They kinda inseparable, this will only be emphasised if he accepts her confession. Also she’s smarter than Sakura. Still vulnerable to the NTR but she won’t be folly to a blackmail or bribe so easily and would probably go to MC before accepting anything especially after that groping incident.

If Sakura stars in the play with Fumi as a supporting cast. Sakura will undoubtedly get jealous. Either from Fumi’s and MC’s nationwide success (which could probably even go international at this rate) or from their strong bond. Airi said she is doing something different from Karami Zakari, is evident because MC doesn’t seem like a cuck. The FMC is still a nympho whore. But I hope MC writes the wrong of Karami Zakari MC and goes for the Supporting Female lead instead of the female main character. Fumi is probably the most desired character for MC to end up with.

SIDE NOTE: MC needs to tell Fumi he’s been cheated on.

What’s NTR about Girlfriends Friend?
Technically it's not as the ML is the one that's stolen. But it gets classified as such, and I think accurately. It's just the FL's love interest that is stolen.

@BegoneThoth was there a 2nd news announcement about Sakura, thought there was only 1 announcement post time skip about the TV drama gig and not a movie which would be bigger. Feels like this movie production arc is the finale and it'll be a bit longer to include the confrontation/reunion into epilogue. Not seeing any announcement yet on the manga ending though so who really knows.
I'm assuming the context is the discussion with that Lolitera(?) guy.

I was suggesting that the tv drama gig would preclude Sakura from being in the ML's film if that film was immediately going into production. As far as I'm aware, that was the only announcement about Sakura.

At this point "vanilla" means a hentai manga where the characters aren't mentally ill, clinically retarded or crippled with emotional trauma...
actually in Karamizakari the MC marries another woman while FMC who's a nympho has sex with many men cus that's her thing while thinking about the MC. so the positions are inverted by the end of the story (with FMC being the cuckqueen).

seems to be very close to what's happening in grapara.

As much as I want to shit on Sakura (Believe me, I'd pay to do it), I think we're kinda glossing over the fact that glasses girl (Was her name Fumi? Idk, let's call her Fumi) knew this guy was in a relationship, kissed him, and now knowing that she pretty much ruined his relationship, starts throwing herself at him almost immediately.

She's not the gutter trash whore Sakura is, but she's certainly not a good person.

Shinobu for over a hundred chapters now has been a victim of 90% of the people he's interacted with after meeting this slut.

Let's not forget that the two of them only started dating very recently.
And before that, she sucked off two guys and never told him.

She hid that from his face for months, and has the sheer audacity to not only get mad at a kiss out of context (Something she should be very aware of how easily people take advantage of other's kindness by her own experiences), she had sex with someone else from night to morning (I want to vomit), but couldn't even have the guts to look him in the eyes and tell him they're breaking up, so she let her affair partner do it.

She is the most disgusting person in this show, because even with the NTR guys, and corrupt directors, they never feigned any sense of goodness or victimhood. She continues to do so even though she's anything but good.
The worst part is that it doesn't even register in her head.

I thought I couldn't hate an anime girl more than Seryu (Akame ga kill), Bitch from Shield hero, or Rachel from Tower of God. I was wrong.

Sakura, is an utter bitch of a character, and I absolutely despise the fact that she's going to get away with MOST, if not ALL of the shit she's done throughout this godforsakened story.

I don't think Fumi knew about his relationship. :jigsaw:

Also, based only on season 1: Rachel did nothing wrong.

I think Sakura will end up reconciling with the MC. Why? Because the author is a woman, and one of the fantasies of the modern woman is that, even if she cheats, she will eventually return to the "beta nice guy" since he will always be willing to forgive her and take her back.

When I'm in a bad writing competition and my opponent is Katsura Airi :haa:

Anyway, there are still ways to bring Sakura back just like the author did in Karami. There was an entire arc of the MC seeing a different girl while the fMC only got a couple of pages of her and the uni senpai fucking ( VERY SIMILAR to this).
After the whole thing with MC and the new girl (in Karami) crashed and burned, the author brought the fMC back and everything seemingly returned to the status quo.

it's not going international but nation wide which it's still much better than what Sakura gets with minor roles on TV dramas (she isn't even the heroine in the new show advertised online lol).
She isn't even the heroine in the manga she is in now lol.

Well now this is an interesting jp comment that makes you think

I think this episode was a contrast between Shinobu, who seized an opportunity and moved forward, and Sakura, who escaped into sex and remained stagnant. On the surface, it seems like both are making progress, but Shinobu is moving forward with his own talent, while Sakura is only getting a boost from the power of her agency. The director of the erotic special effects said something ominous: "Katsuragi is the type to immerse himself." In other words, he is still not good at acting out things he has no experience with. When the freshness boost wears off, if he hasn't grown on his own, he will undoubtedly hit a wall. Moreover, the new agency is a sweet environment for Sakura, who is superficially comfortable, so if she is late in realizing this, it will be a bottomless pit from which there is truly no return.

Man the jp comments that think Sakura has no feeling for fuckboi are setting themselves up to get crushed man I can see that coming from a mile away.
That's what I want to know too. What exactly is her relationship with him now, and what does she feel about him. Does she like him or even love him? Or is just using him as convenience whilst he actually IS in love with her.

Something we have to consider: this is an NTR romcom. So somehow, and no matter how contrived, the MC has to end with someone or be implied he's settling down. But considering who writes this... it's gonna be a cute nameless/faceless NPC and after MC succeeds in his vocational purpose, kind of implying it's just bc of societal expectations. Karami Zakari doujin was kinda the same. MC married an NPC but after he professionally succeeded, and after being drugged into watching FMC being dogged in feont of him

I almost didn’t make this post because neither the series nor the author are worth our time or money (thankfully, MangaDex exists).

Like I said in the previous chapter discussion, there isn’t really a redemption path for Sakura without turning Shinobu into the story’s punching bag. And this chapter only reinforces that idea with the timeskip, which exists solely to avoid a confrontation between Sakura and Shinobu (if it ever happens). It’s also completely absurd because, during all those months, neither Shinobu nor Sakura even tried to contact each other. I’m no expert in human behavior, but if you’re reading this, you’ve probably gone through a breakup or even lost a close friend before. When that happens, you usually want to know why things ended. Here, there’s absolutely none of that. It’s as if the previous 129 chapters meant absolutely nothing and had no emotional weight whatsoever. I mean, throughout all those months, Sakura never once wanted to know why Shinobu, the guy who had done so much for her, was kissing another girl? She just moved on as if nothing had happened? I wish I had that kind of ability to detach myself from people lol.

As for Shinobu, you can tell it meant something to him because he spends months dwelling on it, even coping by telling himself that as long as Sakura is happy, that’s enough for him. Meanwhile, Sakura makes it feel like she just changed socks and moved on without a single ounce of guilt or regret. Like I said before, it’s as if everything they went through together meant absolutely nothing to her. She sends a breakup text and immediately moves on. And like someone else said (sorry dude, I forgot your username…), it honestly feels like she never loved Shinobu in the first place.

I don’t actually think that’s what the author intended, but as a reader, that’s genuinely the impression you get. Shinobu comes across as much more human and far better written in comparison, whereas Sakura feels like she’s being forced to act this way purely to milk the drama and drag out their breakup.

This chapter also brings some people back to reality, especially those expecting Sakura to face karma. I wouldn’t say it was guaranteed, but considering the author’s track record, I would’ve been more surprised if Sakura had actually faced the consequences of her actions.

In the end, it’s empty drama. It’s painfully forced drama farming, and this is where the author’s limitations really show. In her doujins, she’s free to do whatever she wants, especially with NTR stories, which are often built on absurd premises anyway. Stuff like, “If you want your husband to get a promotion, you’ll have to sleep with me,” or “You own a sex toy? If you don’t want your neighbors finding out you masturbate, sleep with me.” The characters have to act irrationally, otherwise there’s no story to tell, and those stories usually rely far more on the artwork than the writing.

The problem is that this is a weekly manga. Even if readers enjoy a bit of spice, they’re ultimately here for the story. And when the author isn’t capable of handling that side of things, it becomes painfully obvious and ends up killing the series—exactly what’s happening here.

I’ve been saying the same exact thing. Romcom suggests that the MC has to succeed. Romcoms tend to have three endings:

Romantic Resolution (In this case, bad case scenario): Sakura dumps Ikeman, Shinobu dumps Fumi. Sakura and Shinobu reconcile and try things again.

Side Character Resolution (In this case, the best case scenario): If the story develops Shinobu/Fumi more convincingly than Sakura and Shinobu. It’s likely, irregardless of whether Shinobu and Sakura met, they may reconcile but they won’t get back together. Fumi wins.

Bittersweet Resolution (In this case, the worst case scenario): NTR Airi strikes again. Fumi gets taken or Shinobu rejects her, Sakura drifts off to the sunset with Ikeman. MC is all alone. We get Sakura’s downfall, in contrast to MC’s rise. Everyone grows individually. MC gets the Karami Zakari treatment with an NPC wife and the audience left pissed off wishing that MC achieved more romantically than an NPC.

Romcom has to provide a romantic satisfaction to the reader. How she plans to redeem Sakura in the eyes of the reader audience, we don’t know (I don’t even think she will). How she plans to make Fumi endgame? We don’t know. Will Fumi do a Sakura. We don’t know. Only thing certain is MC has to win.

That’s why it irks me when people compare this to Karami Zakari. KZ is purely an NTR romance drama. Romance can have a varied amount of endings. GraPara is a NTR Romcom. Romcom is limited to a good ending all the time.

This is true in the H version but the non-H manga version ending was slightly different. The ending arrangement between MC/FMC was 95% the same but it is revealed that all the stores FMC shared with MC was a lie, the very fist lie being during their breakup where FMC says she had a threesome with Niiyama (blonde chick) and another Senpai in the locker room after school, but in actuality she never did, saying she has someone else special to her which could only mean MC at this point.
