Funny thing is the ntr baits can work and work really well but as you said the line was crossed cheap shock value that destroys to whole premise of the story instead of a cathartic release. It's that denial of said release that will hurt her the most with readers.

Unlike most I was okay with Sakura being in baited situations. Likely pushing further and further until enough was enough. So long as that one line wasn't crossed. I was okay with this because NTR was to be expected.

Yet I was also okay with how other characters, like Nagi, Hana and the movie girls would fully go into NTR because they're side characters and showed the darker aspect of it all.
