The only way I could see this end is that:

• This Miyu-chan is the twin sister of the deceased one
• Real Miyu-chan survived the encounter and even managed to fake her death somehow and is now larping as a fake one to throw off her former assailants
• A person very close to the deceased Miyu-chan and is cosplaying as her to find the culprit, even going as far as plastic surgery and such to make shit believable

Closer, but probably not too close, wouldn't surprise if we only manage to see just a small glimpse of the actual truth from this arc.

The only way I could see this end is that:

• This Miyu-chan is the twin sister of the deceased one
• Real Miyu-chan survived the encounter and even managed to fake her death somehow and is now larping as a fake one to throw off her former assailants
• A person very close to the deceased Miyu-chan and is cosplaying as her to find the culprit, even going as far as plastic surgery and such to make shit believable

Theory 2 is very unlikely, since it has been hinted and showed multiple time that this Miyu is not the real one, like her habit of eating the taiyaki (which is not easy to change), how she has no childhood memories of her friends (we even see this from her own POV), and how Haruto noticed immediately how she is not the same without the acknowledge of real Miyu's death... Unless the author retcons things, but still very unlikely.

I would go with the 3rd theory since we have seen the flashback of her looking at the real Miyu's death body in the morgue, and IIRC, there was hint of plastic surgery had been done on this fake Miyu from Haruto's debut arc. This would also make a more interesting story than the twin sister, consider how real Miyu's father is also involved.

I try to think like the author in how to make a twist, so we have some elements:

• Late introduced character who already know about their secret
• Joins the protag team to make readers used to his presence
• Gives him the "crossdresser gag" to make readers lower suspicions about the character
• He doesn't have inner monologue

So I think it's either him the culprit, or the author is going to do a different twist (maybe something related to Miyu's father).
