Sometimes I feel like everyone here wouldn't survive the pacing of a webcomic.

Which like, despite the similar page output per week that this series has to most webcomics (4 pages once a week vs a range of 1 page a week to 1 page each day of a week), its still like faster than webcomic pacing. Because webcomics seperate longer scenes over multipel days of uplodates whereas this story does way shorter scenes in one week, sometimes making them interlinked. It just feels like more is happening.

I'm fully aware I'm in way too deep, and I shouldn't expect an eastern artist to have an encyclopedic knowledge of deep cut, western indie/alternative acts, but the music references have been getting "better" with these later chapters.
What do you mean they've always been solid remember when they referenced Wonderwall by Oasis  Oasis was like the next Beetles, so they claimed. :nyoron:

In a way, a The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl reference feels like more like possible foreshadowing for blue yuri to me than most other things so far - two separated lovers, who are doomed to only meet again after a long time? A familiar tale

I think this is the first time we're seeing Qixi artwork for these two, yeah?

Cute chapter continuing the star festival theme and fun way to represent some of her beliefs about herself. I always enjoy textless chapters when they come. Aya is being slightly crushed but we'll worry about that once the song is over.

The point is that it's Tanabata season and Arai-sensei wanted to do a Tanabata chapter.
The chapter could be them dancing and laughing and the comments will be "what was the point! I'm so upset!" I'm starting to wonder if it's possible for people to relax and enjoy things. Seem too wound up sometimes for such a chill series.

Well, it's another comments section where people don't understand or outright ignore symbolism. Music is the bridge that connects them!

This is a sweet slice-of-life moment for our heroines. Mitsuki's dream collects her recent worries about distance, being unable to reach Aya, and her avoidance. And it takes the shape of the album Aya is sleep listening- the song title "Stars," the Album title referencing Astronauts, and the Zebra from the album art (Sorry, it's not Narita).

This dream ends with Mitsuki reaching Aya, but the chapter ends with Mitsuki crushing Aya while she sleeps. I'd say this is another step towards communication, with the reminder that it's not ready to happen just yet. Perhaps prophetic that it's coming soon!

Is Hum a deep cut? The hit single "Stars" was all over the radio and MTV when it came out in 1995. Every modern rock radio station had it in heavy rotation, the music video was regularly on MTV, and it made it onto Beavis and Butthead. Of all the grunge and post-grunge bands, I think Hum is B-tier famous.

What has been the point of all of this? Including last weeks break, this has been an entire month and… what was the point? What progression have we had? What character development? Aya’s little brother idolising Mitsuki? Great. Wonderful.

In a manga where you update 4 pages a week, you have to be really careful and picky with what you choose to publish. Because, if you aren’t careful, the plot will very easily and very quickly completely stagnate and grind to a halt. Like it literally has right now.

At least the song was something of a deep cut this time.
Genuinely, I think caring so much about plot and progression is not going to be helpful. I'm not saying it doesn't matter, of course it does, but not every moment in a story is about plot and progression. Theme, mood, and aesthetics are also important facets to a story that have nothing to do with progression or plot and can be just as important.

What was the point of last chapter and this chapter? They show that despite the fight they're having and despite them not being on the same page, they're still living together and still in love with each other. It's especially important for these chapters right now because every drama chapter has people going "looking forward to blue yuri, they might as well break up". It seems like most people can only react on a per chapter basis so if it's going poorly then they think everything is bad. This chapter and last shows you, no everything is not bad.

I honestly wonder if some people enjoy reading at all. It seems like they just want constant ~progression~ so the story can end so they can pronounce the ending 'PEAK' or the worst thing ever written.

So we finish up the argument "arc"... then what? So we can get fluffy chapters like... the one we just got and people are complaining about?
