My understanding is she's kind of a selfish type, the type who can always come up with excuses for why it's fine to play around and whenever she feels "guilty" she can trust that her "true love" will forgive her "mistake". In her mind, each time she comes back she is "serious" about not cheating anymore, but she just can't resist the temptation and again feels sure that when she apologizes she'll be forgiven. I find it hard to decide which is sadder, being with/loving a girl like this who's guaranteed to cheat again and then come back full of "remorse", or another story I read long ago where the girl actively dated other men and the main character was just the rebound boy that she'd seek for comfort sex when things didn't work out. Either way is kind of similar: she's comfortable with him and seriously wants a future with him, but she's so focused on her own wishes that she won't hesitate to secretly go running around for months at a time before running back and believing that it'll all be fine.

Reading this, I know I shouldn't feel sorry for the gf since she is ACTIVELY cheating on him. However, it kinda made me want to read where MC is in a love triangle with his cheating ex-gf and a new girl has a crush on him.

Why all of a sudden is she acting overly clingy like a dog thag hasn't seen its owner in months. Why was she genuinely surprised that he wanted to end things with her a few days after she did a complete 180. Is she being genuine or is she keeping up appearances because something happened during her affair.

Really interested to see where we go from here. Looking forward to the next chapter.

There are people like that in the real world. It's kinda like the toxic version of friendzoning someone. There are some women who keeps a guy who they won't date but keep as a friend, but when that guy gets into a relationship she gets all clingy.

Some people like the option of playing around, but have the fall back that they can always go back to. They think that person will always love them and forgive them.

If I read this manga straight, then i come to the same conclusions about it as everyone else here, but the tone of the manga just makes me feel like there is something else going on. Most of the scenes aren't serious enough for something about this kind of drama.

You nailed it. I think that's exactly what is going on. FYI this happened to me too. My girlfriend randomly stopped talking to me for 3 full days. Then when I did meet her. I smoothly said "I was doing my computer science homework. We covered the laws of a stack, what have you been up to?" She said "I went bowling with a friend on Wednesday, he got a strike." I didn't accuse I asked more questions and then the next day she asked me to break up with her. I was devastated because I thought she was the one. This was also a week before my birthday. I found out a couple days later she was cheating on me. I just got lucky and I didn't do the deed. If I did I would have to take 50 showers! scrubbing that area because just thinking about another guys swimmers attaching to my penis. 🤢🤮
