It's an absurd comedy manga about a horny couple forced into sex abstinence with a ridiculous excuse, so why be so edgy about it? I mean, I'd understand if it were a serious story, but here it's just awkward and disgusting.

I just checked the author's X account and he clarified that the test came back negative. He even made an illustration to clear up the misunderstanding because even the Japanese were confused.

Hormonal contraceptives can have bad side effects, most common one is a complete collapse of energy levels.
There's also the possibility of heavier menstrual flows, or even rapid menstrual periods. Not enough focus is on how hormonal birth control's negative sideffects.
Regarding condoms, this is anecdotal but women in a good, loving relationship with their man tend to prefer raw, creampie sex. It's as if the women want to have babies with someone they love, kinda crazy. Even if they know it's risky, even if they know they shouldn't, it happens.
