You'd be surprised, alot of people listen to advice from friends, family, acquaintances and/or coworkers about their relationships when they know they (the ouside influence) dont know the full scope of their relationship and end up self-sabotage alot of trivial issues that couldve been resolved by just talking to their partner themselves. There has GOT to be a middle ground where the authors start having people have realistic conversations. Either the series goes so deep into the "We have to talk about every emotion, we need consent to even look each other in the eye or brush against each other, and then we need to talk about it for hours as if we are each therapists" or it goes into "Basic conversations are a no-no, and we should just live in constant emotional suffering that only a 13 year old edge lord things they can understand."

These are both adults. Just, freaking, talk! Like people. Like real humans interact. I try not to let media make me bias about a country but I'm truly starting to think that Japan is just full of cave dwellers who either react violently when they see the sun or run inside to sing kum-bah-yah with their tribe for days on seeing it.
