I feel that the story is losing a lot of steam these past few chapters. it's fine to focus more on the music, and it's even fine to keep our couple separated for a while to build tension, but I feel that this situation where they talk casually at school but never have any big romantic scenes is a bad middle ground that feels unsatisfying.

if the author wants to separate them for a while, commit to it and have them totally break contact! however if they're still gonna interact then more time needs to be spent on them as a couple or else every time they talk it just feels like a misfire

Ok just going to accept they're not going to have the right timing for romance for a while. Rather than romance I guess we'll be focusing a bit more on the band/music stuff while keep stretching out the romance until they finally really do have to date I guess. I hope this manga isn't one of those where it ends right after they date. Author I know it's hard to keep story up after the main couple gets together but plz I believe it's possible you can have them date and still continue the show.

The misunderstanding never got resolved by Yuusuke but at least through others telling her like the Haru leaving + best girl Erina etc at least Maki still thinks there's a possibility and isn't avoiding him anymore. Still I wished Yuusuke actually properly resolved it himself. I get the author can't have them date too early but with Haru gone etc and the timing was right I think the romance really should've been resolved. They can date and still have troubles drama story etc along with band/music.

Like really Yuusuke constantly thinking about Maki and writing music thinking about her etc but yet we still don't got him really trying to address why she was avoiding him???

Anyways, despite my problem with how the romance is handled right now I still enjoyed binge-reading this and catching up. I hope the anime gets a great adaptation.
