Ok why is it worded like the declining birth rates are something that turning non human animals into people could fix? I can see how it might temporarily help out with certain economic things related to declining birth rates and an aging population. But it does not fix the actual reasons that led to the declining birth rates in the first place
paru nowadays just seems to put important japanese societal issues to sound profound , and never really answers/delves into it much , or atleast just looks at it on the surface level.
she's been obsessed with this whole "declining birthrate" issue since Sanda , but it only really mattered at the beginning of the story and eventually got forgotten in the long run , which the solution to it in that manga was "defeat the evil cult".
with ushimitsu gao , she tried delving into japanese married life problems and how divorce is frowned upon over there , but aside of the constant cucking and random plot twists , the solution was just "get a kid and life is automatically better".
she just uses actual problems of japanese society , and using it as a plot point for whatever fetish she has on the moment , this time with taika no risei it's human x anthro slop advertised as a thriller but is actually a slice of life manga with ocasional mystery aspects and a 2 volume long basketball arc for no reason.
don't usually like complaining about authors , but with her it's pretty sad to see.
