this needs either editing or an actual proof reading pass. stuff like "Alright then, senpai..." immediately followed by "Happy birthday, senpai!~" doesn't read like english so much as it does a poor tl and it immediately takes me out of what i'm reading and ruins the entire experience

Even if this follows the normal manga romance trajectory of them not officially dating until the end, I always like stories like these where they get somewhat intimate before officially dating. Feels a little more real.

Also, omg, Emma in a realistic scenario this is similar to what I would do as well but it always leads to pain.

After the initial set up feeling a bit more toxic and manipulative, this is coming off more wholesome than I thought. Not complaining at all though. Their relationship still isn't fully wholesome and there is some lying and half truths involved, but I like that Emma isn't just being like "I gotta take her heartbreak to my advantage to get together with her" but she genuinely cares about Suzuran and actually having a positive effect on her.

That's the friend, not the cousin. I don't remember her mentioning a boyfriend, but she did mention a job she does 4 times a week.
