I find it easier to pet cats when you don't hold out your hand above their heads. Might be fine with friendly cats or cats that know you, but wary cats may feel intimidated, especially if you are doing it nervously.

This, very poor petting technique. Have so far had best success offering my hand below their face level in a loose fist for sniffing, and then opening up palm upwards to get to petting distance. Can't remember a cat that would have shied away since I started that.

Coming at them from above with an open hand tends to freak out even cats that have known me for years. =/

Damn, this chapter was cute. Seeing Katagiri so happy with cats made me smile. She seemed so sad that the kitty ran away from her. Now she gets to cuddle with multiple cats! Naomi really did good by taking her to the cat cafe. I wish I could go to a cat cafe myself...

It's funny that Katagiri wanted to take advantage of the discount, while Naomi wanted to be honest. The cashier seeing them as a couple makes sense. No matter what they may think, Katagiri is very comfortable with Naomi in a way that's easy to mistake as romantic.

I'm sure that no matter what happens, the picture they took together here will be a reminder of a great memory!
