Yeah, it's not easy to revenge the person gave birth to you, especially when the cop believe his mom has been manipulated and brainwashed, more than genuienly want to commit a crime, as indicate from his test, she lack malicious and willpower to harm other, she just a bottom woman, and despite her problem, she did raise him into adulthood before he decided to leave home forever, it's very complicated for the cop, we has seen him straightforward toward more evil members, but his mom is not like that. I agree, forcing her to quit the cult she loves so much, is a good punishment.
