This manga honestly started out very well. Both the MC and the FMC were really well characterized and everything they did just made sense for how they were portrayed. Then the last 3-4 chapters happened and the quality took a straight nosedive.
Early on a lot of cliches were setup, but the way the story went about them were refreshing. The only bad cliche early was the whole “childhood friend but no memory of it” trope, but what I’m assuming can only be described as the heavy hand of the axe took that out back and began unloading a minigun’s worth of ammunition in how many dumb tropes we got at the end.
I can only lament why. I’m assuming (and this is mostly just me wanting to put blame on something) that it’s simply due to the japanese having frankly horrible tastes in manga. That’s my only explanation for why something as refreshing as this was at the start became axed, when other romance series can run for 300+ chapters doing nothing but ragebait viewers. That said at least the ending was very wholesome and sweet, regardless of how rushed it ended up being.
