I am so very confused by what is going on between Shiro and D but I desperately want to know more. Like I get what has been explained (D is the devil? Who is Lazy, wanted a break, snuck off, joined a class, sent said class to Isekai world, put spider in her place as decoy who became Shiro, etc) but the why, what she has against the class, the why of the Isekai world, etc is completely beyond me. You are right about most of it, the wrong part is that D didn't send the class there, that happened due to an attempt to find her (or just coincidence, I don't know.) D only mess with sone of the reincarnation not all of them for entertainment.

Potimas instigated previous demon king and hero (both were proficient with space magic) to attack Administrator of system - which is D. It did't do anything to her, but people around her - classmates - all died. So as sort of apology, but mostly for giggles she send them to another world. As someone should take her place, she made dummy out of spider lived in that classroom
All of that can be found in early chapters.

Sounds like you have a backlog of a few years.

For example the vampire girl appeared in chapter 48.1/48.2.

Damn that was 6 years ago? Pre-COVID? Like I do remember the chapters were extremely short and schedules are extremely long so while she was still in the dungeon trying to survive on her own and beat Alaba there's at least a clear goal, once she's out it just felt directionless she was worshipped as a deity for a few panel after she defeated an army then it's like everytime a new chapter drop you have to ask where were we again?

This story is very much trimmed down from the WN as most manga are for space reasons but even without classmate side stories it does go a bit directionless after "Shiro" is born as the big questions are slowly unraveled but Kumo never really wants to do much or interact with the class since she doesn't care for them much. It takes outside influence to move Kumo so you'd be fine not remembering much after the dungeon since most folks agree "escape" was the last solid goal Kumo had.

That said Kumo is still fun to watch so I revisit chapters every now and again.

Yes I understand that. I suppose I should have said “gotten class sent to Isekai world” to be more correct. I do understand the story so far as it’s been portrayed, what I want is stuff that hasn’t been revealed yet. Why does the Isekai world work like a video game? Why are their gods able to access our world? What’s up with the Elves tech? How did Shiro become a God and what does that actually mean? Who is this new Maid-God and Why is D deferring to her? Etc. The story has gone from a “holy crap I’m a school girl who has been thrown into an impossible game like situation but will somehow survive through sheer willpower and luck”, into “holy crap I’m a spider who had the false memories of a god pretending to be a school girl implanted into me who has been thrown into multiple impossible situations but will survive against all comers, including the god who created me and is now enjoying my suffering through sheer willpower, luck and somehow becoming a God. Oh and I for some reason feel honor bound to save all of those classmates I never actually had” and I kinda want to know what the fuck is actually going on.

Well, I can answer, but it only spoilers. I don't go into much details. Must of that would be in the future chapters (not all, because mangaka skip almost every chapter without MC)

Who is this new Maid-God and Why is D deferring to her?

Actually, she don't have much meaning in the plot, so you can just forget about her. She is true dragon, like Guiri. True dragons are beings, who ascend to godhood over time just by living.
Maid are collegue of D and came to pick her up, because she is slacking her job. Not much details that job she have - something about managing Hell. Full reason why D on Earth because she is just slacking. It's only role of maid, she irrelevant to plot. In strength we don't knew, probably equal.

Why are their gods able to access our world?

Every world has gods, who govern it. Technicaly Earth are part of D's domain, so we can call her our god. And for gods it's not hard to teleport between worlds, only problem other gods can attack trespassers.

What’s up with the Elves tech?

Originally isekai world had advanced civilisation, more or less like our world. Only difference was true dragons lived in that world and Goddess, who governed it - but she only protected humans from dragons and other gods from different world (actually she is closer to broken automaton by behavior).
Potimas, famous scientist, made a huge discovery of new energy source, which make it even more advanced. But only Potimas knew it at that time, what this source was planet life force. World start to crumble, dragons tried to stop humanity, but loses to Goddess completly and leave the planet. Only then humanity understood in how deep in the ass they are, and tried sacriface Goddess to save world (she didn't resist). Guiri, only true dragon, who still reside here and was romantically interested in Goddess decide to save her. And of all people, he went to one of strongest being in entire univerce - D.

Why does the Isekai world work like a video game?

Evil god D being evil god. For her it would be easy but boring to just fix world. So she made overly complex system, there people's souls was closed in that world. By repeating reincarnations people accumulate power with skills and with death return that power to world to slowly heal it. Why game - well, D had fun make it like game. She wanna see tragedy, suffering and other black stuff. Currently the world is like her toy box.
And also she made Guiri unable to act as anything over than a watcher (so he can't just go and kill Potimas, or D would be displeased and probably murder him and entire world on the spot). Also, one who constatly make announce of skills is Goddess. She confinded in deepest level of Elro Labyrinth, and now kinda resemble servitor from 40k, just muttering announce of received skills by every living being in the world. D made her core of system. Well, if world would be saved, she would be free.
Irrelevant, but Goddess deeply loved by Demon king and Guiri (some personal history) and deeply hated by Shiro.

How did Shiro become a God and what does that actually mean?

There not much information what god is in that world. Gods have much more magic energy, but that's all.

We only knew 2 types: true dragons (Guiri, maid) and angels (Goddess, and most likely D as fallen angel).

Shiro became god by absorbing energy and with it maxed out one of her skill.

It possible to became god in that world via system D create (she not expect someone really do this, but still make it possible). Actually, reason why Potimas still here and not on another planet - he hoped to become god.
