However, she has forgotten that her rep is basically shit tier. For a long time now, bad rumors have gone unchecked, such as she cheated on the prince and was caught. Plus, she not only did not "fulfill her duty" of being a sacrifice, but she up and caused the court mage to literally quit his job, renounce his titles and loyalty, flee the country, and take up work and citizenship of a neighboring country which she now is queen of. To many, it sounds very much like she has a lot of (reasonable to those who know the truth) hostility towards her (former) home country, and is looking to cause its downfall. Even though she does not hold such feelings.

If she brought Greed with her, it would 99% only be seen as a threat/power move. Similar to her taking the army with her. To be honest, she should not even go at all. Send a few envoys like a political ambassador, or a few higher ranked knights, or even just send Chris with a sealed letter specifically giving him to the king to dispose of him (since he could technically be called a traitor and all) as he pleases. Side note, that boy needs some serious help with his seperation anxiety.

@Rockdrop That's just people letting their political opinion get them emotional, trump is only high on the possibility list due to being the US president, the same could be said for his predecessor and successor, the leader of the strongest military on the planet will always have a higher chance of starting a war than most other nations leaders, simply due to how much military sway they have with opposing countries.
Either way this is the most i'm going to say on this conversation, this isn't a political forum, it's a manga forum.

As for food and resources, one only has to look at china's water situation to understand that in a decade or so china will have no choice but to rely on outside sources for food and water due to the pollution of their own waterways and overconsumption of those not polluted will dwindle their water resources to the point they will no longer be self sufficient.

As for oil, oil in itself is likely not to be a issue for at least a few decades due to advances in frakking technology, things such as rare earths however can in fact be problematic as much of modern technology uses rare earths which are mostly mined in china due to how much polluting it takes to get them out of the ground.
Of course another potential problem is the coronavirus which no matter it's actual effect on people and humans, it is effecting global finance and supply chains, if they are effected for too long it can also lead to conflicts, though it's very difficult to say at this early stage if it will get to that point.

In the context of my original post and what it was originally referring to, most wars are fought over resources, even most rebellions appeared during times of severe hardship on the populace, many times being during famines, in the context of the story, if eliana isn't successful for example, it would eventually lead to war for food in a real story, but of course, they have a apocalypse level dragon on their side too so it's unlikely a war would be needed.
