I hope the lead artist gets some rest and make a speedy recovery. Their health is very important. Hopefully the new lead artist doesn't change the art style drastically.

Yup. That's some medieval level of thinking - when we attack then we are righteous warriors and whoever attacks us are barbaric usurpers. That was kinda common during tribal wars.

Yup, so is a cicle... I think is this story continues to just wash away any crime with only flowers and grapes as results of murder or the intent of frame for.

I gonna dropped it, because has not logical explanation, and you can argument to me with the explanations that give the story itself. But lest be honest... That arguments have flaws and flaws.

Is just...

Hesha better give the village sovereignty and not turn them into a plantation town!

Everyone is being too harsh on the villagers and not thinking about their actions in the context of the world of this story. There are very rational reasons for a tribe of women living in a borderlands region in a patriarchal feudal society to treat men the way they do. One of the main themes of this story is all the fucked up things women need to do to survive in this world and this another example.

I know people like their morality to be tidy and neat in their stories but think for a second. If the village didn't participate in banditry, they would likely be taken over by nobles, soldiers, or other bandits and awful things would happen to the women and girls there. The increased income from banditry allows these women and girls to live a life of relative freedom in a society that wouldn't give them any otherwise, and the fear of bandits keeps danger away from the village.

Knowing all this, I support the villagers and am not going to cheer for these scumbag knights from one of the parasitic noble houses. Why do you think they tied up all those villagers like that, including the children? Not for anything good!

And that 100% necessitates killing innocent people
