Based off my point of view I think this is about the sacrifice of letting go of someone you love yet i feel like the author failed at making readers feel that but maybe that’s my opinion?

I liked the concept of this, shows us that letting go of someone you love might be the best for you and them, yet I could not feel the bittersweet feeling while reading this. Author rushed the ending in my opinion. And we don’t even know what that symbol was on michiru’s forehead. Honestly it was a waste of such a great idea… but maybe author meant to make it ambiguous? Dunno lol

The symbol on Michiru's forehead is the planetary symbol of Neptune. In Sailor Moon, the Sailor Senshi often have their symbols manifested on their foreheads when they awaken/use their powers. In other words, the author was showing that Michiru had awakened as Sailor Neptune and that's why she's been AWOL; she's out fighting monsters.
