Just stop worrying, and enjoy life. You aren't required to be a fancy pants aesthete. It's perfectly fine to read a manga whose only value is abundance of pantyshots. You don't become less of a person from that.

I agree.

There's a time for everything. Ideally, you should be able to be mindful of everything, but if you become a slave to such mindfulness (such that you can't enjoy anything), you're not much better off than the mindless lowest common denominator.

There're things that suck about this manga, but there are good (not to mention uncommon, if not rare) things to get from it too. One should enjoy the latter.

The problem with that hairstyle of his is exactly what you hinted at immediately before you spoke of it: it's as feminine as the rest of his design. You can see the curls and other styling of his hair--it's 100% a girl's hairstyle. A male's ponytail won't look like that, and a topknot definitely doesn't: I think you meant to refer to the Japanese chonmage, used by men in the Sengoku (Warring States) period and sumo now.

The chonmage back then, however, was accompanied by a shaving of the top of the head, which definitely wouldn't go with the look the author has in mind for the MC here: the only reason the reader can identify the MC as male is the story's explicitly describing him as such; he's otherwise almost indistinguishable from the tougher variety of "lolicon" bait.
