So there's a couple things that are story spoilers but for a couple that were posted before this point in the story:

Tomikawa refers to herself as "Child Gacha: Total Failure" essentially saying she's a common pull in the parenting gacha, and not a desirable SSR or 5-star like her mother would want.

But there's another that was posted before now which I think about a LOT. Mostly because when I first translated it I had to double-and-triple check my translation because I was certain I got something wrong.

Nope. I got it right.

Tomikawa essentially asks "Mom, if I score 100, can I get in the bath?" implying that things like basic hygiene and upkeep were held hostage behind the need to obtain high test scores. And if you look close at the sheet she's holding, she scored a 98 - well above the class average, but not the 100 requested by her mom.

The fucking evilness of this mother cannot be understated.

I recommended this manga to Sugiyama on Patreon/Twitter and he replied with this:

I read 柊ちゃんと富川ちゃん on pixiv. That abusive parent is called "毒親Dokuoya" and a social problem. Manga having Dokuoya theme have much increased over the last decade. "Bath" would generally refer to bathing as a whole - while showering is definitely a thing, in a family home like this it would be unusual for them to not have a full bathroom and shared bathtub. Essentially they're either saying "you are not allowed to clean yourself" or "you may wipe yourself down but you may not enter the bathtub." Both of which are incredibly fucked up.

The line on the right is just her going "Ya-hah!"
