Also given that the younger brother wasn't effected by her releasing her magic like the older brother was, it's obvious that he must have magic within him, or is immune to it's effects entirely (perhaps magic doesn't work on him at all?), or something along those lines.
Though he seems to have absorbed the FMC's magic previously, which which calmed her magic down... but that wouldn't have had the permanent effect on her that it seems to have had... His ability is quite the mystery was far.

Another run of the mill type of abusive family that hates on the MC for no real fuckin reason. He's the third son, such positions usually don't necessitate much expectations because the first and/or second son is the one to lead the family next when it comes to noble families. There's no reason to be so damn harsh and spiteful towards your own flesh and blood just because he doesn't hold the same capabilities as the rest of everyone. It makes no logical sense and it's such a stupid fuckin trope in manga. Be indifferent if anything, but to actively go out of your way to be spiteful makes no sense. Just feels like a super cheap way to have readers empathize for the MC or something.

Wasn't their father stressing to Nova the importance of not antagonizing Leticia at all? Yet this second son pulls up out of nowhere and starts talking shit about her and the man she is courting when she just showed up for a peaceful outing. That's clearly more than enough to qualify as antagonizing her.

I will be disappointed if their dad doesn't hear of this and harshly scold Kairas later, because it makes no sense that the older sons wouldn't have received the same warnings.

How is the average lonely depressed slave supposed to self-insert if the MC has more progress than him? It's not unique to the Japanese though. It's like what happened in the Dilbert sunday strip series a few decades ago. Dilbert, the perpetually single mid-level engineer, suddenly got a girlfriend, and readership PLUMMETED because people were using him as a yardstick for their own successes/failures. Readership only course-corrected when they broke up. Same thing happened to the Sci-fi channel series Eureka, after three seasons of "will they / won't they" between the male and female leads, they finally "did", and the show collapsed, even despite the writers breaking them up. "Will they / won't they" has no more meaning when stuff already happened.

Just a lot of jealous people out there.
