Holy crap, I can't believe she fucking killed him like that in the first 17 pages. After an attack like that? I doubt there's going to be a recognizable corpse left on page 18.
I...
I think I'll stop reading. Didn't know manga could be so brutal in its violence

Bro genuinely reminds me of Tenya Iida but if he was less robotic and no calf and thigh engines.

nah for this to be interesting to me she should actually be a bad person with real bad points and not just "kind of foul mouthed and slightly short-tempered". give me some real shit like smoking or stealing.
She harvests organ for a living, her family is a mafia

This is the most correct take I've ever seen in manga and they passed it off as being "foul-mouthed." Bro didn't even try to get to know her. Didn't consider her feelings. Didn't even wonder what kind of person she might be past what he saw. That's not love. And this is the first time I've seen it called out. I really wish they had stuck to it. "Nah, bruh, I'm good. You're so shallow that you didn't even endeavor to tell me your name first. Go away." Instead it's this brute force bullshit, that goes beyond ignoring consent and borders harassment. Sigh...okay now that I got that out, I'm probably still going to read it.
I feel like this has been a pretty common aspect of SoL romcoms for the past decade or so. Granted, it's not generally presented as bluntly as here but at the same time you usually don't get that many confessions out of the blue. In real life, (the vast majority of) people don't just confess to their crush and expect it to just work out.

Manga tend to contrive scenarios in which the main characters are "forced" to interact and thus know each other. That way, even if the attraction and infatuation started in a shallow way, it does end up becoming genuine by the time the story concludes. That's also why it's such a trope that romance manga end with the confession.

For this one, I don't actually expect much from it, I get the feeling that it's going to be a normal romcom which just pretends to be more nuanced than the others. Calling out or subverting one aspect of the genre doesn't suddenly set you apart, especially when the main characters are this cliché (FMC so far is just another palmtop tiger, all bark, pitiful bite, and gets flustered at tne drop of a hat. MMC is not characterized enough, though I doubt he would ne anything revolutionary either).

I would be happy to get surprised as it goes.

The beginning was promising, but then it felt like the author wanted to get to a specific dynamic and so speedran all development and just had the FL explain her personality quirk, slipping past all conflict and struggle... and it just feels bland.

For instance, the ML gaining an inkling of the reason for her harshness could have been the theme of chapter 2, ending off on:

Her reacting hilariously violently could have been the theme of chapter 3, ending off on:

Him actually managing to bridge the gap could have been chapter 4:

And then this line could have had more of an impact after some further development:

Just some thoughts.
