Because he was cast as the antagonists for the tournament arc. He has always been an arrogant prick who insults the MC, and now that he got his malevolent spirit upgrade and facing Tina next, you just know he is going to loose control and injure the mascot character and start the Doom Music pumping thrue the MC's head.

This felt like one of those chapters where you remember everyone's a kid. In all the ways that means they're dumb little shits who make everyone's lives wow by being dumb little shits, all the ways they're overly dramatic, and all the ways they're both monsters and angels but they're way to young to be type cast for the rest of their lives. You know in these series I always feel so sorry that they adults either suck or are just nothing and very unhelpful in the actual growth, development, and many many mistakes kids make that are just catastrophic when magic is involved.

I'm going to push back hard and say that, "Everyone has one." is the dumbest reason not to do one. Who cares that discord is a popular platform people use to form online communities these days? Everyone also has a subreddit who cares? If someone wants to form a community on their preferred platform of communication then they can go right ahead. Whether or not people want to join is up to every single person that comes across it. I know I won't, and based on your response you clearly won't. But your comment also makes it sound like you would or it'd somehow be a big deal if less people and scanlators used discord... no, umm no it wouldn't. The content and purpose of the Discord server wouldn't change. People don't have to reinvent the wheel every five seconds and even if they did water in a standard cup isn't any different from water in a plastic bag. If you don't think they should make an online community at all for a real reason then go ahead and say it. Maybe you have a problem with how safe it'd be or think it'd be burdensome to maintain. Be brave and say you just wouldn't want to join.

Maybe no one will join, maybe a few people will. The scanlator isn't making it a prerequisite to read chapters. They just want to make a place of their own where they can talk to people about it. Probably talk about other things. Discord is just "a" platform that enables people to create that community.
