Part of the problem is that a lot of official translations are garbage. I know people like this manga, but enough to consume an inferior product when they already tasted Inked's loving and skilled effort?Well, still it is manga up/square enix original so if you like the manga and want to support the author/artist and show publisher that it is worth to keep adaptation going it's worth reading in manga up app.
Well that's the thing, in the end official adaptation needs to stay above water for it to be there something to enjoy. There is kinda 'no point' in this translation if the adaptation gets cancelled. So for me first, I will take even a bit worse official tl if it gives a bit higher chance that it gets fully adapted or maybe get official serialization.Part of the problem is that a lot of official translations are garbage. Overseas markets are a secondary market at best. If you want to support the mangaka, buying the JP digital releases would be more effective. Tonari no Kurokawa-san almost got cancelled, but the people here bought a ton and were thanked by the mangaka for their efforts.Well that's the thing, in the end official adaptation needs to stay above water for it to be there something to enjoy. I think bar owner has fully accepted her role as wing woman / matchmaker. She's the one who introduced the two leads to each initially and kept missing them together.I might be greedy ...but I do want 3 way romance between MC , FMC and bar owner 😂...
I mean ..that bar owner the one get both get together ...and pretty much reserved the seat for their weekly flirting on her shop
But sometimes she does asking MC to accompany her until closing time and escort her back house
I know 😂...that why she FMC very drunk last 2 chapter and she noticed MC going take her back home ..she says it's okay since both are adult and consent with each other ...because it's not unusual for that scene lead towards sex scene between both 😂I think bar owner has fully accepted her role as wing woman / matchmaker. She's the one who introduced the two leads to each initially and kept missing them together.
I think the wasabi was in the first one she took. She grabbed her glass immediately after, but didn't need to wash down the following takoyaki balls. Was there even wasabi in any of them? Maybe she waited just long enough to see Tonami's last one had none, and then she pretended hers is the hidden bomb?
"TL" is a strong word for the absolute mess that Manga Up shits out normally lol. Thanks for continuing with it, your translation is miles better.Have you read their TL's?
Fuck that, I'll just buy a copy of the raws and then continue reading this TL. I'm not going to support a company that half-asses the work and produces something barely readable. If they actually cared about the manga instead of being driven purely by monetary incentives, then they would hire some translators who aren't illiterate. I have no issue with official publishers in general, when they do a good job - groups like Manga Up simply don't care about their work, and we usually end up with no readable version because a series getting a licensed TL normally means no scanlators will touch it.Well, still it is manga up/square enix original so if you like the manga and want to support the author/artist and show publisher that it is worth to keep adaptation going it's worth reading in manga up app.
Manga Up isn't a group, they are the release arm of Square Enix who owns it. Buying the raws from Japan is also supporting Square Enix, it's just done in a way that they might actually care."TL" is a strong word for the absolute mess that Manga Up shits out normally lol. I am also suspicious that King Himi faked the last one being full of wasabi. Was there even wasabi in any of them? Maybe she waited just long enough to see Tonami's last one had none, and then she pretended hers is the hidden bomb?
The word "group" does not exclusively mean a scanlator group, I am well aware of what Manga Up is. I also said nothing about supporting Square Enix.Manga Up isn't a group, they are the release arm of Square Enix who owns it. You literally acknowledged right above this that there is a tangible difference between buying the raw and paying for Manga Up, regardless of whether the money ultimately ends up at the same destination. Sure it's less clear-cut than boycotting independent translation companies, but there is still a difference. By your logic, buying a Final Fantasy game is also supporting Manga Up.It's fairly well-known that JP companies don't care at all about anything that happens outside Japan. If you want to see the series continue, then yes, go buy the raw, but you're still "supporting Manga Up" because Manga Up is Square Enix.
@inkindoug I wonder if there is much need to TL when there is a official TL (which is even further). You do a great job, but feels like you can better spend your energy on other titles with no official TL.
The official translation is (1) crap (2) paywalled crap (3) utter crap. So the official translation can eat shit.Well, still it is manga up/square enix original so if you like the manga and want to support the author/artist and show publisher that it is worth to keep adaptation going it's worth reading in manga up app.
