I already dropped Parallel Paradise long ago precisely because it is such a massive slog to read…it’s like the author never intended to have any form of resolution for the poor MC…

For a moment there I was worried: it was always a illogical how the seemingly brilliant mom was still going for the scammer without a clue but at the same time the first half sounded like a complete cop out, like the author was trying to save face of his female MC. So I'm glad he actually went there and had Sasae add that she actually isn't perfect but not completely retarded either. Just a little. That's a nice touch.

For a moment there I was worried: it was always a illogical how the seemingly brilliant mom was still going for the scammer without a clue but at the same time the first half sounded like a complete cop out, like the author was trying to save face of his female MC. So I'm glad he actually went there and had Sasae add that she actually isn't perfect but not completely retarded either. Just a little. That's a nice touch.

If anything this only patched some shit on her character but it felt more like a "Yeah I kinda fucked up her writing up until now huh?" more than an actual twist, the "I just wanted to be punished" still makes no sense, I mean, what was the end goal if Sasae didn't murked his dad saving not only her but her daughters...
