While I don't really like the "following the plot" shit, at least most of the time it makes sense that the MC wants to keep their one "real" advantage in life by having some semblance of future knowledge, even if 99% of the time their mere existence changes things drastically enough that they can barely get things to follow said plot in the first place. That said, the thought of having an MC say "fuck the plot" entirely is pretty refreshing, especially if they've considered that they might end up making shit way worse on accident but have decided to do their best regardless. Shame this guy's reasons for doing so are shallow enough that it makes his decision look like he's just a horny moron who didn't really think things through instead of someone genuinely motivated to make the best of their second life, but... oh well, lol
