Manga skips ahead 6 months, after the trial. Kirari has formed the toughest prison gang and runs the prison she's assigned to. Everyone respects her even the guards, everyone listens to her, everyone wants to be her friend and do things for her. She finally as all the friends she could ever want.
She doesn't have to worry about food, housing, or doctors - or her overbearing mother. She can just hang out with her friends all day (well, after morning count and until lights out if we're being technical), writing novels & stories, drawing, playing games, and doing each others' nails and make up. And working out in the yard.
She writes and publishes a novel series while in prison, and sacks of letters from fans arrive constantly.
Now, every day is a wonderful delight for Kirari, and it's a life sentance.

Srs though I'm with you bro, nothing makes my blood pressure shoot up like reading a Kirari chapter, seeing Touko defuse Kirari's self-sabotage.... and then just waiting for the other shoe to drop and really, really hoping it never comes for this poor girl

Almost certainly its something to do with Ex-Papa.
I think she's going to run some set up with Kirari and Ex-Papa, maybe make it look like Ex-Papa is stalking Kirari; she's becoming friends with Kirari so she can pass it off as "He was only stalking me because I was friends with the girl who was his real obsession". Also non-zero chance Ex-Papa turns up dead and Touko frames Kirari, but makes it look like self defense from a dangerous stalker. Or that she's crazy and was obsessed with Ex-papa.

I meant to say obviously her only end game is to have a new friend and help her feel included with the other girls in class.
