There's a particularly unique aspect to this catharsis for Kumugi, and I think it's why I find myself repeatedly coming back to reread this chapter.

She doesn't "atone" or feel absolved of her guilt for the accident (not that she needs to be), she's not convinced that she isn't a burden and won't mess things up (even if neither are true); Kumugi still believes both of these things. She still believes she did a terrible thing to Spica, and still believes she'll be a burden to the rest of Team Descaras.

And yet even in spite of that, her thought is "[she] can't take it anymore." Ichi, Amadaro, and Descaras reminded her of just how much Kumugi loves magic for its own sake, and now she can't keep a lid on those feelings anymore. This isn't Kumugi finding absolution or newfound confidence: this is Kumugi being selfish. She is going to have fun with magic, guilt and insecurities be damned.

And when you look back on the series, it seems to me that every powerful Witch has a common trait: force of personality. They're all willful individuals, acting on their own beliefs and convictions first and foremost. I think, from here on out, we are going to see a very different side to Kumugi.
