The pornwa was very lighthearted and comedy centered so i don't really expect any really serious drama. Like i already said, there she did speak to him and dumped him, but it was off screen. And unfortunately she never said any details about it from what i remember... So you just had to assume he did in fact cheat.

I found that very disappointing, probably other readers as well, so maybe that's why they are changing it here.

We will see next chapter I suppose but misunderstanding and drama is the lifeblood of many manga. If he already has a gf that he likes, he'd just be relieved about desolving the relationship
