Once we get close ups of Kuon's face it's so easy to tell. Not sure why no one said anything. The MC clearly didn't realize. And like it's fine to tease him at first, but after the "I can't get you a swimsuit because I won't leave you alone with a guy." line it's detrimental not to correct his misunderstanding. Don't respond, "Huh." 😂 Just say he's not a guy and be done with it, so he could've run off to buy a swimsuit with "less" worry (I mean, I still wouldn't leave my friend alone with a stranger in that type of vulnerable situation, but Japan is a lot safer than the States and plus said stranger still looked like a minor). Good thing the granny's spidey senses went off.

Either the old woman aged really disgracefully, or it's a case of the unreliable narrator. It is HER flashback after all. It is totally possible she's remembering herself as a bombshell beauty in say her 50s (maybe it was 20ish years about and she's 70+ now) when she wasn't.

[erectorz]

damn granny time is a cruel mistress

Suspected as much thats what he meant with "what I left behind" after seeing his mom's reaction a few chapters ago.

[19801980]

How can a smoking-hot woman like that turn into this old lady? It’s gotta be the cigarettes, for sure . But This chapter only reinforces that the MC’s mother is the father’s true soulmate, which, without a doubt, makes the MC the heir.

[19801980]

Até o pai do protagonista é mais "macho alfa" do que ele — meu Deus, a única coisa que falta agora é ele se transformar no próximo Kazuya, só que ele seria um banana e um saco de pancadas de qualquer jeito.

[razorshaleh]

Props to Yoriko, still surfing even at her age

thank you for translation

So there are three noteworthy pieces of information here: a) The implication of this scene is that Naoomi's parents had a lot of sex after that, b) these events took place roughly 15 years ago give or take a year or two, and c) there's no sign that the two of them had a child with them at the time.
Taking all of these factors into consideration, and considering that Naoomi is 17 years old, I posit that Naoomi was conceived on this very island. Like the majestic Atlantic salmon, he has returned to the stream in which he was spawned.

[ipmanvsthemask]

Nao-kun should just do what his dad did and have bed-breaking sex with Yuzu.
