On one hand, it would be pretty funny and on par with the manga’s theme if MC’s dad won the harem route. Maybe that’s why he died so earl, from all the stress.

On the other hand, I think it‘s a bit premature to think the dad Kuon is referring to is the same one they’ve been investigating. The weight of the name already caused the adults to react before they confirmed who Kuon really is. And that old lady knew about what this issue is, it seems to already be public knowledge. That’s not consistent with how this family is responding to the MC’s case by keeping it underwraps.

Nobody knows yet, but it's actually interesting because both gramps and the (final?) legal wife (Yukari) know it. Plus the name sounds old, like it belongs to a similarly "historied" family as the Tanemori. Maybe dad used to have another official family before this one, all the while cheating with Naoomi's mom.

She knew the name. She just didn't know there was a daughter. That's why I think the Manjoujikis are another old family connected to the Tanemoris. Yukari's own family seems to be the same.
